Spooky Teacake Spiders with Ginger-biscuit bases and Vanilla Marshmallow insides!
Although Halloween is a traditional time for baking, I’ve never been a fan of the over coloured, over buttercreamed cupcakes that make up 90% of the holidays. I decided to try something a little different this time, making these spooky little numbers. The mottled effect was due to my chocolate tempering not being quite up to par. Normally that would drive me made but I think it adds a little something to these little chaps! The legs were achieved by piping a little chocolate onto some baking paper then, once set, attaching to the side of each tea cake with a little more chocolate.
